Concierge Lounges
Disney Dream vs. Disney Fantasy Concierge Lounge: 3 Differences
- Disney Dream
- Disney Fantasy
- From 4 of my videos

Since their reimaginings, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy Concierge Lounges share the same elegant Hercules and Mount Olympus theme. I find three real differences: the Dream puts the bar at the back with more seating up front and the kids' area in the center, while the Fantasy puts the bar right at the front and the kids' area toward the back. Neither is better. It ultimately depends on how your family likes to use the lounge.

What do the Dream and Fantasy Concierge Lounges have in common now?
These are sister ships, and Disney has reimagined both Concierge Lounges. I have been in both, and they are very, very similar, yet very different. ▶ 0:00 The newly expanded spaces feel brighter and more contemporary. Disney describes the design as inspired by Hercules and the heavenly Mount Olympus, so you'll see light, airy colors, gold accents, and details inspired by the clouds and golden gates of Mount Olympus. ▶ 1:44
What I appreciate about both lounges is that it's Disney theming done in a very sophisticated way. You don't walk in and feel like you're sitting inside a children's movie. It feels elegant, elevated, and definitely VIP. ▶ 2:08 Both lounges are on Deck 12, convenient to many of the Concierge staterooms, and both offer complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages through the day plus a cocktail hour every night from 5 to 10 p.m. ▶ 6:20
On both ships, the Concierge hosts are truly the heart of the lounge. They help with your itinerary, dining, onboard activities, port adventures, and any changes that come up. They learn your family name and your preferences, and in my experience those little interactions are what turn a great Disney cruise into an exceptional VIP one. ▶ 7:29
Difference one: where is the bar?
On the Disney Dream, the bar is toward the back of the lounge. That move freed up more guest seating at the front, with places for families to gather, have breakfast and coffee, or simply relax. ▶ 2:31 I particularly like this setup in the evening, because the bar becomes a destination within the lounge rather than the first thing you encounter. ▶ 2:54 When I toured the new Dream lounge, the buffet was right behind the bar. ▶ 2:32
On the Disney Fantasy, the bar is toward the front. On my December 2025 tour it was over to the left as soon as you walk in, with a seating area beside it that would be a great place to have your wine in the evening. ▶ 2:01 The bar has a much more prominent presence as you enter. Neither arrangement is better, but after spending time in both lounges, I can tell you that moving the bar changes the flow and personality of the entire space. ▶ 3:16
Difference two: where do the kids play?
Both lounges have toys and a TV playing Disney movies all day to keep little ones happy while you enjoy a drink. ▶ 4:02 On the Dream, the children's area is central, and I think that's an important design choice for families with younger children. Kids have their own place to play while still feeling part of the main lounge, and parents can sit nearby and keep an eye on them. It's not a huge kids' club and isn't supposed to be. ▶ 4:24 On the Dream there are little chairs and tables, Hercules nods on the TV, and drawers with games and coloring. My tip: tell your kiddos to open those drawers. ▶ 8:56
On the reimagined Fantasy, the play area is closer to the back of the lounge. ▶ 4:46 When I saw it in December 2025, the drawers underneath held books and games, so kids can have a fun time back there while you're at happy hour. ▶ 4:01 It's a small change on paper, but when you're actually using the lounge, it creates a different experience. ▶ 5:10
Difference three: how does each lounge flow?
Let's virtually walk through them. On the Dream, you enter into a larger concentration of seating at the front, the children's area sits in the center, and the bar is further back. On the Fantasy, the bar takes the prominent position at the front, and you continue through the lounge to reach the children's area toward the back. ▶ 5:33
Same sister-ship DNA and the same Hercules-inspired look, but a noticeably different flow. This is the kind of thing you can't appreciate by reading a list of Concierge benefits online. You need to actually see the spaces. ▶ 5:57 If you have little ones and want them in sight while you relax, the Dream's layout may suit you. If you love an evening cocktail and want the bar to be the centerpiece, you may love the Fantasy.
What food and drinks did I find in each lounge?
In the new Dream lounge there's a touch-of-a-button coffee machine with half-and-half, cinnamon, chocolate, teas, honey, and syrups, and a second espresso machine by the buffet. Refrigerators hold Coke Zero, Sprite, Evian, and milk for the kiddos or the adults. ▶ 6:58 The embarkation-day buffet had tiramisu, vanilla cupcakes, California vegetable sandwiches, saffron grilled chicken sandwiches, almond coconut cookies, and chilled beef tenderloin salad. ▶ 10:52
On the reimagined Fantasy in December 2025, the refrigerator drinks were available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and you can take them back to your stateroom. ▶ 2:50 At the bar I spotted top-shelf bottles like Maker's Mark and Macallan, plus beer and wine, with 5:00 as the magic hour. ▶ 3:36 The daytime spread had cookies, desserts, grilled chicken sandwiches, a California vegetable sandwich on rye, fennel with feta, fruit, shrimp, and my favorite, the chilled beef tenderloin salad. I eat that all the time with my low carb. ▶ 4:25 I also love the real plates and utensils and the Concierge logo napkins. ▶ 5:13
On both ships I was offered a welcome drink on embarkation day before happy hour opened. On the Dream it was prosecco, with red and white wine and beer also offered, and on the Fantasy we had a champagne toast. ▶ 2:32 ▶ 10:39
What is the private sun deck like above each lounge?
Both lounges connect to a private Concierge sun deck, and both have been expanded. On the Dream you go right up the stairs from the lounge. ▶ 6:36 Up top I found more chaise lounges, a second bar outside that runs as a cash bar during the day, and plexiglass so Concierge guests can see the ocean. ▶ 12:59 There are two showers, a Concierge-only hot tub with a child lock, an awning for shade, SPF 50 spray and lotion, Sight Savers, and a restroom so there's no need to go back downstairs. ▶ 14:36 ▶ 15:24
The Fantasy sun deck on Deck 13 has been enlarged too. The frosted windows that used to run all the way around have been opened up with plexiglass, and that extended area is all Concierge now. ▶ 6:46 There's a refrigerator of non-alcoholic drinks and a brand-new bar where a Concierge cast member can serve you a drink on your room charge during the day, with swivel bar stools. ▶ 7:32 You'll find two showers, a restroom, big chaise lounges, towels, SPF 50, kids' spray, Water Babies, cream, and Sight Savers. ▶ 8:42 ▶ 9:29
What was the Fantasy lounge like before the Hercules reimagining?
If you've seen older photos, know that the Fantasy lounge has changed more than once. In May 2025, on the Fantasy's maiden voyage to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, the lounge was already a little different from my previous Fantasy sailing. ▶ 0:00 ▶ 0:22 That version had artwork featuring the Fantasy itself, Cinderella's slipper, and Remy, more tables than before, and a TV showing where all the ships are. ▶ 1:21 ▶ 2:33
Then the Fantasy went into dry dock, and I was on one of its first cruises back in December 2025, during the Very Merrytime season, when it debuted the Hercules-themed lounge I compare here. ▶ 0:00 Some things carried over across both versions: happy hour from 5 to 10 every evening, the chilled beef tenderloin salad, and the private sun deck on Deck 13 where the Concierge character gathering has usually been held. ▶ 4:57 ▶ 6:58
