Disney Private VIP Tours, booked as part of the vacation
Melissa Jiles books Disney Private VIP Tours as part of a Walt Disney World vacation — a dedicated Disney VIP Tour Guide, private transportation, and a park day built around your family. She is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner in Arlington, Texas, and her planning is complimentary.
What a Disney Private VIP Tour includes
Your party (up to ten, including infants) spends the day with a Disney VIP Tour Guide who builds the itinerary around what you actually want to ride and see. Pickup is from Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels. It is Disney's own tour, with Disney's guides — Melissa plans and books it; she does not replace the guide.
This is not a cheaper Lightning Lane. At several thousand dollars before park tickets, it is a splurge: a celebration, a multi-generational group that does not want to manage the logistics, or a one-day “we are doing everything” itinerary.
Why book it with Melissa
Guests calling Disney directly can usually reserve a tour up to 60 days out, and popular dates sell through. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners can add a Private VIP Tour to a Walt Disney World vacation package, which can hold the date earlier. Melissa uses that window, then plans the rest of the trip around it so you are not paying by the hour for breakfast logistics or a park you did not need.
If a VIP Tour is the wrong spend for your party, she will say so and build a Lightning Lane day instead.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a Disney Private VIP Tour?
- A Disney Private VIP Tour is a privately guided park day at Walt Disney World with a Disney VIP Tour Guide, private vehicle pickup, and a customizable itinerary. It is Disney's own product — Melissa Jiles does not replace the guide; she helps you decide if it is worth the hourly rate and books it as part of the vacation.
- How far ahead can a travel planner book a VIP Tour?
- Guests calling Disney directly can generally reserve up to 60 days out. As of 2026, Authorized Disney Vacation Planners can add a Private VIP Tour to a Walt Disney World vacation package, which is how Melissa can hold a date earlier than that phone window. Tours still sell out; earlier is the point.
- How much do Disney VIP Tours cost?
- Disney publishes an hourly range (recently about $450 to $950 per hour) with a typical minimum of seven hours and a maximum of ten. Theme park admission is not included. Melissa will run the current rate for your date and party size so you can compare it to Lightning Lane and a well-planned DIY day.
