Disney Magic Concierge: The Classic Ship, Reimagined Lounge
The Magic is where Disney Cruise Line began, and I'll admit a soft spot for her. Concierge here is intimate: a few dozen staterooms on Deck 8, a lounge that was completely rebuilt in 2023, and hosts who really do learn your coffee order by the second morning.
- Concierge on Deck 8

▶ The new Concierge Lounge, 2023 walk-through
I've filmed the new lounge, both Royal Suites, two One-Bedroom Suites and a Family Oceanview Verandah on this ship, so when a family asks me "which stateroom on the Magic?" I can answer with a number.
What makes Concierge on the Magic different
- The 2023 Concierge Lounge is a genuine upgrade: more seating, a proper bar, and a Concierge sundeck above. My walk-through is the first video below.
- Two Royal Suites: the Walter E. Disney Suite (8030) and the Roy O. Disney Suite (8530), refurbished in 2023. I toured the Roy O. right after the refresh, and the tour is worth 26 minutes of your time.
- One-Bedroom Suites 8034 and 8048 are the sweet spot for most families, and I've filmed dinner served in-suite in 8034.
- Perks I've filmed on this ship specifically: an exclusive Concierge lunch inside Lumiere's, the beverage trolley, a private mixology class, and Palo dinner delivered to the Royal Suite.
Where she sails
The Magic moves around more than any ship in the fleet. I've boarded her Concierge-style in Port Canaveral, Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, and New York, and the check-in is a little different at each. Tell me your sailing and I'll walk you through the port before you get there.

Questions I get all the time
- Where are the Concierge staterooms on the Disney Magic?
- All of them are on Deck 8, close to the Concierge Lounge. The Royal Suites are 8030 (Walter E. Disney) and 8530 (Roy O. Disney); One-Bedroom Suites and Family Oceanview Verandahs fill the rest of the forward section. I'm Melissa Jiles, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, and I've filmed each of those categories on this ship.
- Is the Magic's Concierge Lounge worth it on a short sailing?
- On a three- or four-night Bahamas sailing, the lounge is where you'll spend more of your time than you expect: breakfast, afternoon snacks, happy hour, and the sundeck above. Combined with the earlier booking window for cabanas and Palo, it's often the difference between a nice short cruise and a great one.
